Monday Reading Task:

On a Monday, your reading task will be to complete the following D.I.A.L activity:

Please answer the following questions about the picture:

D (Deduction):- Explain how you know the people are scared.

I (Inference):- Why do you think the people are on a boat?

A (Authorial Intent):- Why do you think the photographer hasn’t shown what is scaring the people?

L (Literal):- What is the name of the boat?

Monday Writing Task:

This week we will be using ‘OAK ACADEMY’ to look at ‘Persuasion’.

Today’s task is looking retrieving facts from a text.

This week we are going to continue to be looking at MEASURES.

In this lesson, you will be learning about calculating with time. You will be adding amounts of time and keeping a running total. You will be learning to tabulate our results and work out missing values. You will be calculating using hours, minutes and seconds and then using this knowledge to investigate mathematical problems.
