Thursday Reading Task:
On a Thursday, your reading task will be to read a chapter from ‘The Explorer’ by Katherine Rundell.

Comprehension Questions:
Sardines:

Use a dictionary to find the definition of the above words.
- On Page 91, why doesn’t Fred answer?
- Why does Max think that English people eat crumpets and cigars and not fish?
- On Page 98, Fred finds the first pineapple. How do you think he felt at this point. Use evidence from the text to support your answer.
Challenge: If you were an explorer, what would you take exploring? Write a list of the equipment you would pack.
