Kites have been practising their times table and division facts this afternoon. Lots of fun and lots of great learning happening!
Kites continued to show great creative energy when creating their artist pages about Robert Bradford. The children are keen to make their very own recycled plastic sculptures. More on that next week!
Today, Kites identified features of a persuasive letter so they can begin to write their own.
Rhetorical questions, emotive language and modal verbs galore!
Today the children discussed the work of the artist Robert Bradford who uses recycled toys to create sculptures. Have a look at what we have been doing!
Well done to the 3 children who have been nominated for the Awards this week.
Left to right: ‘Reader of the Week’, ‘Golden Leaf’ for Teamwork and ‘Presentation Award’.
Our first music lesson of 2020 is underway! We are learning about the history of music from 1200 to contemporary music this term.
This morning the whole school enjoyed ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. Many thanks to ACES for this wonderful treat.
Here is a suggested reading list for those in year 4. Please encourage your child to read a wide variety of books alongside those sent home from school. Share a book at bedtime. What a lovely way to end the day!
Children can borrow books from the school library and classroom reading shelves. Join the local library and take a family trip to borrow some books.
We will be encouraging children in our classes to read a book from this list and to write a book review. Watch this space (and the doors at drop off and pick up over the next week) for more guidance on how to write a book review.
